Hey there! 😊 So, when you hop onto your POS’s homepage, you’ll see all your awesome items and, of course, the customer’s shopping cart (which starts out empty). Want to kick off a new sale? Super easy! Just pick your favorite item and pop it into the cart. By the way, when you do that, you can adjust the quantity or even change the price if you feel like it.
Once you’ve added something, you’ll zip right back to the main page and spot that item sitting pretty in the cart. You can also see everything currently in the cart, tweak quantities or prices for any item, or swipe right to say goodbye to an item. 😜
Got a long list of items? No stress! Just tap the search icon at the top-left of your screen and find whatever your heart desires.
Fancy giving a discount? Hit that “Discount” button and choose whether you want to slice off a fixed amount or a percentage. Remember, the discount you type in includes VAT.
All set? Tap “Proceed to Payment,” and the system will cheekily ask, “Who’s shopping today?” You can choose a one-time customer (or as we like to call them, a ‘random customer’) or pick from a new or existing customer. If you go with a one-time customer, the app just tags the sale under ‘random customer.’ But if you choose an existing one, you can pick them from your iCount customer list, making your life easier down the road.
Oh, and if you tap on ‘New,’ you can whip up a whole new customer profile and link the sale to them.
Next, tap on “Next” to move to the grand payment finale. The app will lay out all your payment options. If you’ve got a card terminal hooked up, you’ll see options for cash, checks, and credit. If not, it’s just cash and checks.
Once you’ve chosen your payment method, everything else is a breeze. The system does all the heavy lifting!
Now, here’s the fun part. If you’ve connected a printer to your POS, it’ll automatically print the invoice or receipt, no questions asked! If you haven’t, and your customer’s got an email, the system will wing that document over to them in a flash. 🚀
